Meet the Management Team

Stefan T. Midford

President & CEO

As President and CEO of Natural Insight, Stefan Midford has over 30 years of experience in information technology, operations and workforce management. His extensive business background includes leadership roles at major credit, retail and marketing businesses in the U.S. and Canada, with assignments at Discover Financial Services, Sears Roebuck & Co., Sears Canada Inc. and prior to founding Natural Insight, as COO at Intersections Inc.

Mr. Midford's management experience gives him insight into the strategic challenges facing organizations with distributed workforces, as well as the specialized logistical issues that go with them. He is a member of the Institute for Global Work at Boston University, and a member of the NARMS International Associate Member Committee.

In addition Mr. Midford is an active proponent of the need for continued advancement of Science and Technology in schools, and works as a mentor for a Northern Virginia high school robotics team. He is an avid photographer and a member of Mindshare, an invitation only group of Washington DC area CEO’s leading high growth technology companies.

Eric Pfleckl

Vice President, Technical Services

As the Vice President of Technical Services, Mr. Pfleckl is responsible for software development, hosting infrastructure, and technical client support for the Natural Insight platform. Mr. Pfleckl is also responsible for all corporate Information Technology systems and has previously held the roles of Director of Web Services and Director of Technical Services within the organization.

With nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Pfleckl has participated in each phase of the System Development Life Cycle and has contributed to the successful implementations of both small-scale and enterprise-level Web sites and information systems. He formerly held the role of Webmaster at Orbital Sciences Corporation where he honed his user interface and software development skills. He then took on the role of Quality Assurance Manager for Advanced Solutions International becoming an expert in software quality assurance, configuration management, deployment and hosting. With the several director-level positions that followed, Mr. Pfleckl further solidified his role as a technical leader in the software industry. Today, Mr. Pfleckl's breadth of experience greatly supports the continued innovation and smooth running of Natural Insight.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Strayer University and an Associate degree in Photography from Northern Virginia Community College.

Steven R. Brown

Vice President, Sales & Business Development

As the Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Steve Brown is responsible for the company's sales strategy and execution.

Mr. Brown joined Natural Insight following the successful launch and growth of Angel.com, a provider of SaaS enterprise solutions for on-demand call centers and Interactive Voice Response (IVR), where he was a founding member of the management team of the subsidiary of MicroStrategy, Inc. While at Angel.com, he initiated each critical service area within the company, including product development, professional services and sales. As Vice President of Sales and Business Development, he built the company's inside and field sales force, generating the first $5 million in recurring SaaS revenue. As Angel.com's vice president of client services, Mr. Brown introduced Enterprise 2.0 concepts and technology across the organization and built a professional services and support team that increased revenue contribution by five times in three years.

Prior to Angel.com, Mr. Brown led sales consulting for MicroStrategy in New York City, working with clients such as NBC, barnesandnoble.com, and Verizon, while growing the team from less than ten to over fifty technology professionals. Mr. Brown began his career at IBM Federal Systems, now a division of Lockheed Martin, where he led an internal research and development lab developing next-generation Navy combat and surveillance systems.

Mr. Brown holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Virginia.

John Soricelli

Vice President of Operations

In the Vice President of Operations role, Mr. Soricelli is responsible for all operations activities, including creating and maintaining client relationships, managing the client services team, providing support to the sales and technology teams, and continuing to provide input on the use and functionality of the Natural Insight platform.

John was previously Director of Client Services and came to Natural Insight with a strong background in operations and a wealth of industry experience.

Prior to Natural Insight, he held the position of Vice President, General Manager of REPS and before that he worked with a merchandising services organization for 11 years. In addition, Mr. Soricelli has held various positions in operations, field management and account management.

This role allowed him to work extensively with both internal IT departments and third party providers to identify areas where technology could improve the service offering as well as offer greater efficiencies of field organizations.
